Description
Visser Reels Titanium Pliers are the ultimate saltwater fishing tool, crafted from aerospace-grade 6AL-4V grade 5 titanium for strength and corrosion resistance that simply outlasts the competition. Unlike lower-grade titanium or aluminum fishing pliers, these will never twist or flex, even when you are pulling large, deeply embedded hooks from tough fish. The reinforced hinge delivers a vise-like grip for crimping, rigging, and hook removal, while precision cutters with a patent-pending split ring notch make swapping out hardware quick and easy. Replaceable cutter inserts, made in-house by Visser Reels, keep your pliers performing like new season after season.
Every pair comes with a tactical Kydex holster designed for fast access and total security. The snap-lock retention system, high-quality lanyard, and adjustable 2-inch belt loop with two height positions keep your pliers right where you need them, and the holster fully adjusts for left- and right-handed anglers. Durable 304 stainless steel screws stand up to harsh saltwater conditions, so your gear stays ready trip after trip. Available in two sizes, Visser Reels Titanium Pliers are engineered for the serious angler who demands power, precision, and longevity from every piece of tackle.
Built For
Surf and pier
Wet hands, blowing sand, and constant spray. Titanium doesn't care about any of it, and the frame stays light enough to wear on a belt all session.
Boat decks
Drop them in the bilge, leave them in a wet hatch, forget them in the rod locker. They come out working.
Braid and mono
Clean cuts through heavy braid without sawing. The cutters are a proprietary titanium alloy and are user replaceable, so a dull pair is a two minute fix, not a new set of pliers.
Hook removal and rigging
Two lengths, 6.5 and 7.5 inches overall. The 6.5 works close in for inshore fish and rigging at the console. The 7.5 gives you the reach to stay clear of teeth on bigger fish. Every pair ships with notched cutters for split rings.
In the box
Pliers, sheath, and lanyard. Nothing else to buy to start using them.
Care & Maintenance
The titanium body needs nothing. It will not rust, pit, or stain, so a bad rinse job is not going to cost you a pair of pliers.
The moving parts are worth ten seconds of attention. Rinse the pivot and the cutters with fresh water after a saltwater trip and let them air dry open.
Put a drop of light oil on the pivot every few outings. If the action starts to feel gritty, that is usually salt buildup in the joint, not wear.
Cutters are a consumable. When they start crushing line instead of slicing it, swap them out rather than trying to sharpen them. The swap takes a torx driver and a minute at the bench.
Replacements come notched for split rings or straight, so you can change how the pliers work when it's time for a new set. Straight cutters are part 6-5-NCH-STR for the 6.5 inch and 7-5-NCH-STR for the 7.5 inch.
Store them dry in the sheath. Not required, but it keeps the cutting edges from getting nicked against other gear.
Lifetime warranty on pliers. One year on replacement cutters.
