The Visser PierMaster Bail-less Conversion Kit allows any Visser No. Series spinning reel to be converted from its standard full-bail configuration to a manual bail-less setup. Designed around Visser’s modular reel platform, the conversion provides No. Series owners with the finger pickup configuration used on the Visser PierMaster Series. This setup is especially well suited for surfcasting, jetty fishing, and other demanding saltwater applications where anglers prefer direct control over the line during casting and retrieval.
With the bail-less configuration, the line is manually disengaged from the pickup roller before the cast and guided back onto the roller when beginning the retrieve. Removing the traditional bail wire simplifies the casting system and eliminates the possibility of the bail accidentally closing during a hard cast, an important advantage when throwing plugs, jigs, and other heavier presentations. Compatible with all Visser No. Series reels, the PierMaster Bail-less Conversion Kit gives anglers the flexibility to convert their existing reel to a streamlined bail-less configuration without purchasing a separate PierMaster reel.

We process and ship in-stock orders within 1 to 3 business days. Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking.

Shipping rates
Orders of $99 or more ship free. For orders under $99, live carrier rates are calculated at checkout, so you pay the actual cost of shipping with no markup.
Tracking
Every order includes tracking so you can follow it from our door to yours.
Signature on delivery
For higher value shipments, we may require signature confirmation at delivery to protect your order.
Carrier delays
Once a package leaves our facility, delivery timing is in the carrier's hands. We are not able to control weather, carrier backlogs, or other delays, but we are always happy to help you track down a shipment.

Warranty Information
Effective 7/27/2026. Applies to products purchased on or after 1/1/2026.
1. What this warranty covers and for how long
Visser Reels LLC warrants that each product listed below will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for the period stated, from the date of purchase.
- Visser reels, three (3) years from the date of purchase.
- Visser Titanium Pliers, the lifetime of the product, for as long as the original purchaser owns them.
- Replacement cutters, one (1) year from the date of purchase.
2. Registration required
The product must be registered with Visser Reels LLC to be eligible for coverage under this warranty. Registration is the responsibility of the purchaser and applies to all products regardless of where they were purchased.
A claim cannot be processed for an unregistered product.
3. Who is covered
This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Coverage for any product ends if that product is sold or otherwise transferred to another party, regardless of how much of the term remains. The term applicable to each product is set out in section 1.
4. What this warranty does not cover
- Damage resulting from impact, dropping, or crushing.
- Damage resulting from disassembly beyond the procedures documented in the product manual.
- Products that have not been registered with Visser Reels LLC.
- Cosmetic wear that does not affect function.
- Products acquired from any party other than the original purchaser.
Visser Reels LLC reserves the right to decline a claim where a product shows evidence of neglect or abuse.
5. How to make a claim
Submit a claim using the warranty claim form, including the product serial number and a description of the fault. Photographs are helpful where a fault is externally visible but are not required.
Visser Reels LLC will issue a return authorization. Do not ship a product before receiving one. Unauthorized shipments may be refused or returned at the sender's expense.
6. Shipping
The owner is responsible for shipping charges to Visser Reels LLC, Seymour, Connecticut.
For claims originating within the United States, Visser Reels LLC is responsible for return shipping. For claims originating outside the United States, the owner is responsible for shipping charges in both directions.
7. Remedy
Repair or replacement of the defective component or reel, at the option of Visser Reels LLC, is the exclusive remedy under this warranty.
All warranty work is performed by Visser Reels LLC. Dealers are not authorized to perform warranty repairs.
8. Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Visser Reels LLC shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, any Visser product.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
9. Your rights under state law
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
